This webinar was hosted by Sophie Christophy, one of our 'conversationalists'. It's well worth a listen – when you stop and think about our current education system, you realise that in virtually every respect it's coercive rather than consensual, and often for tenuous reasons (there was a lot of discussion about uniform policies for example). There were also interesting points made about how this doesn't teach children to be critical thinkers (challenging the rules is often discouraged), how individual expression is prevented and how it creates very mixed messages about the importance of consent in adolescence.
